Who we are

minari, inc. (“minari”) is a healthcare coordination service that helps patients schedule specialist appointments on their behalf. We are a HIPAA-covered business associate when handling Protected Health Information (PHI) on behalf of covered entities.

Information we collect

When you use minari, we may collect:

  • Your name, date of birth, and phone number
  • Insurance carrier and referral information
  • Documents you send us (referral forms, insurance cards)
  • Appointment details we coordinate on your behalf
  • Messages exchanged via SMS

How we use your information

We use your information solely to coordinate your specialist appointment — finding available providers, verifying insurance acceptance, and booking on your behalf. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

HIPAA

minari handles Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). We maintain appropriate administrative, physical, and technical safeguards. When required, we enter into Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) with our technology vendors.

Data sharing

We share your information only as necessary to coordinate your care:
  • With specialist offices we contact on your behalf
  • With our technology vendors under BAAs (SMS, cloud storage, AI)
  • When required by law

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to complete your care coordination and meet applicable legal requirements. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal information. You also have rights under HIPAA regarding your PHI. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
